COLORFUL ALENTEJO, PORTUGAL

Adoro a região alentejana, tive oportunidade de viver lá por uns anos. Tirei o meu mestrado em Biologia da Conservação na Universidade de Évora, tendo explorado a região de Évora e aprendido mais sobre a fauna e flora da região. Quando terminei o mestrado acabei por ficar mais uns anos, mas desta feita na zona de Estremoz. Onde aproveitei para explorar diferentes habitats e procurar trabalhar com outras espécies. A minha vida acabou dividida entre Lisboa e o Alentejo. Acompanhei diferentes espécies durante a época de reprodução, assisti a conflitos, secas e muito amor enquanto lá estive a fotografar. Escolhi algumas das melhores fotografias que retratam uma pequena parte do que tive oportunidade de fotografar. E nunca esquecerei as cores de alguns dos animais.

I love the Alentejo region, I had the opportunity to live there for a few years. I took my master’s degree in Conservation Biology at the University of Évora, having explored the region of Évora and learned more about the region's fauna and flora. When I finished my master’s, I ended up staying a few more years, but this time in the Estremoz area. Where I took the opportunity to explore different habitats and try to work with other species. My life ended up divided between Lisbon and Alentejo. I followed different species during the breeding season, I watched conflicts, droughts, and a lot of love while I was there photographing. I chose some of the best photographs that portray a small part of what I had the opportunity to photograph. And I will never forget the colors of some of the animals.
