O oceano Atlântico é um ecossistema onde o ser humano é um visitante. Não temos capacidade para voar como uma ave por cima da água ou nadar como os cetáceos para todo o lado. Nem sequer aguentamos muitas horas dentro de água gelada, quanto mais dias, meses ou anos. Mas alguns animais encontram-se adaptados a este ambiente inóspito e para os fotografar tenho de ir ao encontro deles. Ainda não me aventurei debaixo de água (um dia), e para conseguir chegar perto deles só indo de barco. O maior problema é mesmo o facto de eu enjoar imenso, e ter de utilizar alguns truques que me ensinaram para aguentar as viagens. A última foi a mais tranquila, e acho que começo a ganhar coragem para realizar ainda mais saídas.

The Atlantic Ocean is an ecosystem where the human being is a visitor. We don't have the ability to fly like a bird over water or swim like cetaceans everywhere. We can't even stand many hours in icy water, let alone days, months or years. But some animals are adapted to this inhospitable environment and for photographers I have to go find them. I haven't ventured underwater yet (one day), and to be able to get close to them I can only go by boat. The biggest problem is the fact that I enjoy it a lot, and I have to use some tricks that I was taught to endure the trips. The last one was the quietest, and I think I'm starting to gain the courage to do even more outings.
